Smarter image pool, build faster

The image pool is where your items wait before you drag them into tiers. It just got a proper overhaul.

• • Dock it wherever you want. Move the pool to the side for a wider board, or stack it below the tiers for vertical scrolling. Your choice is saved automatically.
• • Three thumbnail sizes. S, M, and L let you shrink things down for a 50 item list or blow them up for a handful of detailed images. Also remembered between sessions.
• • The × button finally does what you expect. Clicking it on an image inside a tier now sends it back to the pool instead of deleting it. Clicking it in the pool itself still removes it for good.
• • A clearer starting point. An empty pool now shows Add images and Add text buttons right where you need them, no hunting around.

Add text labels to your tier lists

Not everything you want to rank is an image. Click Add text, type your label, pick a background colour and text colour, then use the font size slider to get it looking right. A live preview updates as you go, and once it looks right, Add to pool drops it in as an item you can drag into any tier. Good for ranking names, phrases, movie titles, songs, or anything else that is words rather than pictures.

A handful of smaller fixes worth knowing about

• • No more upload limit. Add 10 images or add 100, it is entirely up to you.
• • Tier label text colour. Right click, or long press on mobile, any tier label and you will now find a text colour picker next to the background one. Pale yellow background, dark text. Deep red background, white text. Your call.
• • Full size image preview. Click or tap an image in the pool and it opens in a lightbox, useful for a closer look before deciding where it lands. Escape or tap outside to close it.

Share your tier list with your name on it

Sharing went from a basic upload to a proper experience. Hitting Share now opens a dialog where you can add a title, your name, your social platform and username, and a profile photo, all optional, Skip is right there if you would rather stay anonymous. Fill it in once and your browser remembers it for next time.

• • A creator badge on the share page. Your photo, name, and social handle sit right alongside your tier list, so people can find you in one click.
• • Viewers can download it too. Anyone who lands on your share link gets a Download button, handy for reposting or saving for later.
• • Rebuilt for every screen. The share page is fully responsive now and matches the rest of the site, so it looks right on desktop, tablet, and phone alike.

Shape the templates you actually want

• • Suggest a change. Every tier list now has a Suggest button in the toolbar. Submit a title and a comment on what should change, and read what other visitors have already suggested in the same dialog.
• • Request a template. Can’t find one for your topic? Submit a request, reference images from your device included, and other users can see it and upvote it too.

A guided tour for new users

Not sure where to start? Click the question mark button in the toolbar any time for a five step guided tour of the builder. Each step points at a specific part of the interface, the tiers, the pool, the layout toggle, the size controls, the share tools, and explains what it does. Takes about a minute, covers everything you need to start ranking.
