The short version

Tier-List-Maker.com is a free, no-account tier list maker built by Umair Sharif, a full-stack developer who also works on mobile apps, web platforms, and AI integrations. You can find more of his work at umairsharif.me.

The site exists because ranking things should be fun, not bureaucratic. No signup walls. No watermarks. No “create an account to download your own image.” Just a working tier list maker on the homepage, ready when you are.

Why this exists

Every tier list argument starts the same way. Someone in a group chat claims Charizard belongs in B tier, or that a 6-seed defense is underrated, and suddenly everyone needs to prove their point visually. The existing options were either too locked down (forced accounts, paywalled exports) or too bare-bones (no customization, no sharing, no way to make it yours).

So we built something that skips the friction entirely. The maker loads immediately on the homepage. You upload images, drag them into tiers, and you’re done. If you want to get deeper, the tools are there. If you just want to settle an argument in two minutes, that works too.

What the tool actually does

Instant ranking, zero setup. The live tier list maker sits right on the homepage. Upload images, drag them into tiers. On mobile, press and hold to drag. Everything moves freely between tiers until you’re satisfied.

A real design editor. Click “Create” and you get a lightweight image editor comparable to MS Paint: pen tool, shapes, eraser, undo/redo, text with bold, italic, and alignment options, plus the ability to upload an image and draw or write directly on it. This means you’re not just rearranging premade images. You can build custom items from scratch.

Full tier control. The default S-through-F structure is just a starting point. Rename any tier. Add or remove tiers. Set custom background and text colors for each one. Drag entire tiers up or down to reorder them. Reset the whole board if you want to start over.

Export and share without an account. Download your finished tier list as a clean image with no watermark. Or generate a shareable link. That link page includes a download button, social share buttons (Facebook, X, Reddit, WhatsApp, etc.), emoji reactions, an embed code for blogs or other platforms, and a comment box so viewers can leave feedback directly on your list.

Full-screen mode. Every template has a full-screen button. Useful on smaller screens, or when you’re presenting a list to a group and need the board to fill the display.

AI-assisted template generation. The site provides a prompt you can copy into any AI tool. Tell it what you want to rank, paste the code it returns back into the maker, and it auto-builds a template with relevant images or text items already loaded. This is especially useful for massive rosters where manually uploading every image would take forever.

Report a template. Every template includes a report option. Flag missing images, incorrect images, or outdated content. This matters for topics that change over time, like game character rosters or sports team lineups.

No account required, anywhere. Creating, editing, downloading, sharing, reacting, commenting, embedding, and reporting all work without signing up.

Who built this

Umair Sharif is the owner and developer behind tier-list-maker.com. He’s a full-stack developer specializing in mobile applications (Flutter and Android) and web platforms, with experience building real estate platforms, transportation apps, AI-powered tools, and wellness applications. This project sits alongside his other work as a standalone tool built for the community. No investors. No growth team. Just a developer who saw a gap in the market and filled it.

What we’re working on now

The template library is actively growing. We’re adding new preloaded templates based on what the community actually ranks, from game rosters and sports teams to cartoons and anime characters. The AI import feature is also being refined to handle larger and more complex lists more reliably.

If you notice a template with outdated content, use the report button. We review reports and update templates accordingly.

The boring but important stuff

  • Privacy: We don’t sell data. We barely collect it. No account means no personal information to harvest.
  • Content accuracy: Templates are maintained based on community reports. If something’s wrong or outdated, flag it and we’ll fix it.
  • Accessibility: Keyboard navigation and screen reader support are ongoing improvements.
